CV
Computer Science Ph.D Candidate at Université Laval, Canada, under the supervision of Professor Audrey Durand. I am also a PhD Researcher at Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute and Student Researcher affiliated with the Institut Intelligence et Données (IID). Previously, I obtained a Master’s degree (M.Sc) in Data Science from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Rwanda. I also hold a B.Sc in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from the Institut de Formation et Recherche en Informatique (IFRI) and a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST), both from the Université d’Abomey-Calavi, Benin.
My research focuses on reinforcement learning, particularly in multi-agent systems where communication and coordination emerge through interaction. I am interested in how decentralized agents can learn effective communication protocols and reason about the intentions and beliefs of their partners. My work explores the intersection of multi-agent reinforcement learning, probabilistic pragmatic reasoning (e.g., Rational Speech Act models), and language-based AI agents, including large language models. The goal is to develop principled frameworks for communication, reasoning, and decision-making in cooperative AI systems.
