About me
Currently, a Ph.D. Student in Computer Science at Université Laval, where I am also affiliated with Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute as a PhD Researcher and with the Institut Intelligence et Données (IID) as a Student Researcher. Prior to this, I hold a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Data Science from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Rwanda. Earlier in my academic journey, I jointly earned two Bachelor’s degrees from the Université of Abomey-Calavi: a B.Sc. in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from the Institut de Formation et de Recherche en Informatique (IFRI) and a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST). For further details regarding my academic background and professional experience, please refer to my CV.
My research focuses on reinforcement learning, with an emphasis on multi-agent systems and emergent communication. I am particularly interested in how cooperative agents can learn to communicate and coordinate effectively in decentralized environments. My work explores the intersection of multi-agent reinforcement learning, probabilistic pragmatic reasoning, and language-based agents, with the goal of developing principled methods for communication and decision-making in collaborative AI systems.
